STONE & LIGHT

Designed as a quiet retreat within the home, the Stone & Light Primary Suite balances timeless architecture with a distinctly modern sensibility. The project focused on the intentional layering of light, the use of honest materials, and the introduction of refined architectural details that elevate everyday rituals into meaningful experiences.

Natural stone, handcrafted tiles, and tailored finishes create a tactile foundation throughout the suite, allowing each material to express its inherent character. A curated mix of lighting—from sculptural pendants to tailored sconces and ambient fixtures—was thoughtfully layered to shape the mood of each moment, from early morning light to evening wind-down. The result is a space that feels both grounded and quietly sophisticated.

In the bath, a freestanding soaking tub is framed by filtered daylight and soft linen drapery, reinforcing a sense of calm and privacy. Marble surfaces and handcrafted tile selections bring depth and variation, while custom mirrors and tailored hardware details introduce a modern edge without competing with the architecture. Throughout the suite, restraint was used intentionally—allowing proportion, texture, and repetition to create visual harmony.

The adjoining bedroom continues this language of balance, pairing clean-lined furnishings with layered textiles and sculptural lighting to create a space that feels elevated yet deeply livable. Every element was selected to support comfort, longevity, and a sense of quiet luxury.

This project reflects a design philosophy rooted in material integrity and thoughtful composition—where modern refinement and timeless craftsmanship coexist to create a space that feels both current and enduring.
